What does "Endpoint" refer to in Celigo, and how do you keep below your entitlement of endpoints?

I attempted to enable a Flow on a sandbox Integration and received the error:

You have reached the entitlement of Endpoints for your subscription. Please contact sales to request an upgrade.

I am a sub-user on the account and do not have access to subscription levels. We are testing in the sandbox and may have more Integrations, Flows, Connections or other pieces than we need sitting around from old tests. I want to work within whatever limits the account has without access to the details of those limits. We can work with others who are testing to reduce pieces causing this error.

The Celigo Terminology documentation page does not define what "Endpoints" refers to. What are "Endpoints"? What can we reduce from pieces sitting around to avoid this error?

Hi @toddpierce -

An endpoint refers to each application or technology service that you create a connection to in integrator.io. We allow unlimited connections to each application and only count it as one endpoint. This means, for example, that:
  • Multiple NetSuite accounts (with both production and sandbox) count as one endpoint, even if there are multiple connections to each NetSuite account in integrator.io (with different tokens/permissions).
  • Two separate instances of Salesforce count as one endpoint.
  • Multiple Shopify stores count as one endpoint.
The Account Owner or Admin for your account can see this under Account > Subscription. From the Subscription page, your Account Owner or Admin can see where/how endpoints and flows are being consumed. It is possible to have multiple Admins for an account, so you could request this access if needed.

Update for February 2022 integrator.io release:
Connections to the integrator․io API are no longer counted as part of the endpoint entitlement calculation. Previously if your subscription was consuming all available endpoints, you could be prevented from certain operations that required special use of the integrator.io endpoint (for example, cloning some templates and integration apps, and accessing flow errors via integrator.io error APIs). Now that it is no longer counted, these issues will not occur.

We also learned that separate FTP Connections count as separate Endpoints.

Hi @toddpierce,

You can actually exclude the FTP connections from being counted as endpoints. (Instead, they are counted toward a Trading Partner allotment.) I'm including the draft instructions below, which will be published in our Help Center soon.

Mark an FTP connection as a trading partner

When you create a connection to an FTP server in integrator.io, it is counted as one of the endpoint entitlements under your subscription by default. If the server is external to your organization, consider designating it as a trading partner connection instead. The connection will count as one of your trading partners instead of consuming an endpoint entitlement.

Notes:
  • You must be an account owner, administrator, or user with account-level manage permissions to access this option.
  • Your subscription must have an available trading partner entitlement in order to mark an FTP connection as a trading partner.
  • If you mark a connection as a trading partner/not a trading partner, all other connections that reference the same FTP server IP address and port are also updated.

To mark an FTP connection as a trading partner

  1. From the Resources menu, select Connections.
    -or-
    Within an integration, navigate to the Connections tab.
  2. Locate the FTP connection and open its Actions menu on the far right. Select Mark as trading partner.
  3. A confirmation message listing the FTP connection(s) that will be marked appears. Click Confirm to proceed.

To mark an FTP connection as 'not trading partner' (consume an endpoint entitlement)

  1. From the Resources menu, select Connections.
    -or-
    Within an integration, navigate to the Connections tab.
  2. Locate the FTP connection open its Actions menu on the far right. Select Mark as not trading partner.
  3. A confirmation message listing the FTP connection(s) that will be marked appears. Click Confirm to proceed.
