The Celigo BigCommerce Item ID map is a custom record in NetSuite. Even though it is locked, we are able to create a custom field for this record. Will these custom fields retain if a new update for the Celigo BicCommerce Connector bundle is pushed or will they be deleted by the bundle update?
Hi Daniel,
When the managed bundle is updated, the Celigo BigCommerce Item ID map record may be updated/reset; therefore, the custom field that you created may be deleted.
If you have any further inquiries regarding this, please let us know.
@racyalcon Thanks for confirming. That is extremely unfortunate.
I’ll add a bit more clarity here. If you make a custom field that may eventually have the same name as a new custom field that we will make, then it would be a problem. If, however, you make a field that we would never make, then it will be fine. So I’d just make a pretty unique field id.
To also add, we are working to eventually move everything to SuiteApps instead of the existing bundles. Since SuiteApps don’t allow you to add custom fields to locked records, you may also run into an issue then.
So I guess what we’re saying is proceed at your own risk knowing that
