Hey, I have customers that would like to postpone the Sandbox migration till after the summer holidays, say September.
Are there reasons why that might not be wise .. e.g. that it needs to be completed by a certain date?

While there is no migration deadline today, we do expect to communicate one in the future. I'd be interested to understand what is driving the preference to wait until September, as that feedback would be helpful for our planning.
One consideration is that some of our newer platform capabilities, including Ora and other features planned for release in July and beyond, are being built for the multiple environment model and will not be supported on legacy sandboxes. As a result, customers who migrate sooner will be able to take advantage of those capabilities as they become available.
If there are specific concerns or constraints around the migration, please let us know. We'd be happy to discuss them and see how we can help make the transition easier.
