# How to get notified about new posts in a category

You can help foster an active and helpful Celigo community by jumping in to answer questions in areas you’re familiar with. A simple way to stay in the loop is to "Watch" categories related to your expertise and turn on email notifications—this way, you’ll get a heads-up whenever there’s a post you might be able to assist with.

## Select a Category

First, go to the **Category** that you're interested in via the link in the left side bar or [here](https://connective.celigo.com/categories).

Next, click the **bell icon** near the upper right. You'll see multiple options here. We recommend selecting **Watching** or **Watching First Post** :

## Verify Email Notification Settings

Click your **Profile circle** in the upper right corner, then choose the **person icon** and the **Preferences** option from the menu:

Go to the **Emails** sub-tab and be sure that your email notifications are turned on:

## Additional Information

- You can also choose to follow (and be notified about) specific [**Tags**](https://connective.celigo.com/tags) in addition to Categories, using the same process.

- Tip: Visit the **Tracking** sub-tab on the **Preferences** menu to see and edit all of your followed Categories and Tags in one place.
