# FAQ: Why can't I generate API tokens that never expire?

If you're unable to create long-lived tokens, you need to have an API Management license added to the account. An API Management license allows you to create tokens with expirations that last more than one hour. API Management licenses are included in Enterprise plans, and are available for purchase in Standard, Professional, and Premium plans.
