# FAQ: I'm getting a "Cannot read property role from undefined" error

If you're getting this error:

```
Error message : Cannot read property "role" from undefined. 
```

You need to change your authentication type:

1. Change the connection to basic authentication type. Add email and password. 

2. Specify Celigo Integrator IO TBA role and validate the connection. 

3. Switch back to token based authentication
