# Failed to save record because Please configure the inventory detail for this line

Hi,

Does anyone faced this issue, even if inventory details are configured in netsuite, order creation flow throws error: Failed to save record because Please configure the inventory detail for this line.

Hi Aakriti,

This error comes up because the item in NetSuite has inventory details (usually at least bin/lot numbers) but the incoming order data does not have those details mapped. There are a few additional steps that you need to complete in order to prevent this error.

Hi,

Auto assign inventory is not checked in our case. It does not cause issue for other orders. Only for few POS orders we are facing this issue.

Here’s the solution to this. Since the integration app sets zero quantity on the Credit Memo line, the Inventory Detail is going to expect a quantity of one. Since you are not restocking quantities with this flow, you can customize a Credit Memo form and remove the Inventory Detail from the form. Then the Credit Memos will get created with no issues.
